If you are eligible for Government cost of living payments, you'll be paid these automatically and you DON'T need to apply for these payments.
Sadly, we know that scammers and fraudsters are taking advantage. Please look out for texts or emails inviting you to claim or apply for the payment – they're scams. They may look genuine but they're not.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has said it'll never ask you for personal details or banking info over text or email.
Delete any you get and never click any links or provide any details.
